Karen has been teaching music in the Tri-Cities since 1991. She has a BA & BEd, as well as a diploma in Elementary Music Education from Simon Fraser University. Presently, Karen works as an Elementary Music Teacher in the Burnaby School District. She sings with the Coquitlam Chorale and Concordia Chamber Choir, and enjoys playing a variety of instruments including piano, percussion, ukulele, guitar, and flute.

Private music lessons are offered in Karen's home studio located in Port Moody, BC. She teaches piano, ukulele, and beginner guitar, for all ages starting at age 5 (age 7 for guitar and ukulele). Lessons are customized to meet the individual student's needs and interests.

Lessons are available Tuesday through Thursday evenings. Beginner lessons are 30 minutes in length; advanced lessons are 45-60 minutes in length.
